Welcome to Life After Windows! This is a website that I created to assist people moving away from Windows, or to simply assist those who are in the market for a computer not running Windows.

About Me​

I am not a web designer or a web developer. I am simply someone who works in more of a DevOps type position who has experienced the struggles and frustrations of Microsoft over the past several years. For me, this website is more of a side hobby than anything, but I hope that I can at least point a few people in the right direction with this little project.

Why the Need for a Website Like This?​

Over the past couple years, I have noticed more and more people getting upset and fed up with Windows to the point where I am even seeing non-technical laymen complaining about it as well. Historically, the answer would simply be "Switch to Mac!" but that answer that not fit the bill for everyone necessarily, especially today where we have more options. Others will say that the only option is to switch to <insert Linux distro here> OS, but again, that does not work for everyone.

I have noticed that everyone will have an opinion on what is best as if it's a definitive answer, but the answers are very subjective and do not take into account the individual's use-case. The goal here to to help with that.

A Work in Progress​

This website is minimal at the moment, but there is a quiz (also a work in progress) you can take that will recommend an OS based on your preferences and use-case.

In the future, there will be more plans and refinements. I am a one-man team, so things will take time.
